“I took this down yesterday after being acknowledged, but upon reflecting, I still think it stands true.”
“The truth is, I am too busy at the moment to deal with this… BUT an influencer @matildadjerf using my design for her @djerfavenue campaign, and her photographer @gustavpeterson using Brydie Mack @wolfcubwolfcub’s intellectual property is just plain WRONG.”
“Surely you would have liked to come up with something original? There are a lot of creatives offering great ideas!”
(Below: comparison of two images labeled “ORIGINAL” and “(BAD) COPY”)
“Brydie and I collaborated over this for a @slipsilkpillowcase campaign. I have had multiple companies contact me asking to use the shell, to which I’ve said no, as it was designed exclusively for Slip. I have modified the design and used a variation for other projects. And been fully transparent about that. But to just rip off someone’s design for commercial use is unethical and plagiarises both my design and Brydie’s image.”
“SHAME!!!”
“Tagging someone but still using their work for commercial gain is still plagiarism”

“A direct copy is not ‘inspiration’”

“Full credit to original (unpaid) set designer but still using it”
(Text in image: “Full credit to original set designer @ashleymarcosstylist and photographer @wolfcubwolfcub”)

Matilda Djerf’s story text:
“The inspiration ✨
Set designer: @ashleymarcosstylist
Photographer: @wolfcubwolfcub”
Ashley’s overlay:
“Tokenistic tagging. No apology, just stating that it was ‘inspiration’. We had a whole mood board of inspiration. This is a copy.”(Behind the scenes video from original shoot)
“We shot this last year at Jervis Bay for an Australian brand. Shame on @matildadjerf and her creative team. We understand inspiration can be taken from everywhere but you can’t deny the similarity…”
